This Privacy Policy describes how Buddy ("we", "our", or "us") collects, uses, and shares your personal information when you use our AI chatbot service ("Buddy" or "the Service") through Telegram.

## 2. Information We Collect

### 2.1 Information you provide to us:
- Chat messages and commands you send to Buddy
- Voice messages you send to Buddy
- Images you send to Buddy
- Files you send to Buddy

### 2.2 Information we collect automatically:
- Usage data (e.g., frequency of use, features used)
- Telegram profile information (e.g., name, language)
- Subscription information (e.g. email address, name)
- Chat history and all information contained in your messages and files (but we don't have access to the content, see more in the section Data Storage and Security)

## 3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:
- Provide and maintain the Service
- Process and complete transactions
- Send you technical notices and support messages
- Respond to your comments, questions, and requests

## 4. Data Storage and Security

- In short: we don't know what you are talking about with Buddy.
- We use AWS DynamoDB to store encrypted user data and chat history.
- We use Pinecone to store encrypted chat history.
- All data is encrypted in transit and at rest.
- Data provided to AI models is not retained by the AI providers nor used for models training. (We only use providers that guarantee in their terms that they don't do this.)
- We never directly access or read chat history or personal information about users, it is safely encrypted in the database and only temporarily decrypted for the purpose of communicating with AI models.
- No physical person has access to your chat history, images, audio, files or any information you share with Buddy or any derivatives created from that.

## 5. Shared Memory across Buddy Pro platform

- Buddy is part of a platform called Buddy Pro. Buddy Pro is a platform for building various AI entities under different brand names and all those AI entities share a common memory about a physical user (under the same Telegram account).
- When you talk to another AI entity built on Buddy Pro platform, it has shared memory about your profile with other AI entities built on Buddy Pro, which helps with providing personalized experience very fast.
- The shared memory exists only within the Buddy Pro AI space and no personal information is accessible by any physical person. If you talk to Buddy Pro A and Buddy Pro B, both of them have the same knowledge about you, but none of them provide the information to any physical person, third party nor the owner of the specific Buddy Pro instance.

## 6. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you the Service. We will delete your data upon request or upon termination of the Service.
Deleting a specific message from our database is not possible within the Telegram bot, as Telegram API does not offer an endpoint that would let us know you deleted a message from the conversation.

## 7. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:
- OpenAI, Anthropic, OpenRouter, Google and fireworks.ai APIs for generating responses
- Pinecone for storing and looking up relevant chat history and files
- Telegram for message delivery
- LemonSqueezy, FAPI.cz and Stripe for payment processing
- AWS Lambda for processing data and building chatbot responses
- Hume.ai for processing audio calls (note: audio is not stored on their servers)
- Fal.ai for generating images

Each of these services has their own privacy policies and practices.

## 8. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have certain rights regarding your personal information, such as the right to access, correct, or delete your data. To exercise these rights, please contact us at support@buddy.fm.

## 9. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date.
